Cornell Bitcoin Club Meeting #9 Follow-Up & TEDxCornell Conference April 27th

Hi All,

Hope you've had a nice weekend! The Bitcoin halving happened last night around 8pm. If you're curious, you can view the 840,000 block here. Despite the block subsidy (reward) being 3.125 bitcoin now (instead of 6.25), ViaBTC (who mined the block) received 37.626 bitcoin in fees, so in total (subsidy + fees) they received 40.751 bitcoin (about $2.6 million).
