Cornell Bitcoin Club Meeting #3 Follow-Up
Hi All,
Hope you're having a nice February break. Here are the slides & recording from the third meeting.
Main Topic: Bitcoin x Energy
Why do we care about energy?
Proof of Work (PoW)
Energy & Renewables Misconceptions
Misinformation Campaigns
Addressing "bitcoin has no use"
Consolidation of various reports
Note: I could have done a much better job delivering this lesson. A lot was covered, and while I think I did a decent job reiterating main take-aways, as I was delivering the lesson I realized I had done a very poor job of structuring the order in which the concepts should be presented. For instance, I presented Bitcoin (mining) as a solution before clearly addressing the problems.
SO, I am going to re-do the slides (& split this into 2 or 3 lessons (& probably audio record a new lesson)). While I dislike failing because it's not beneficial to you all, I do enjoy learning to improve.
